Phnom Penh, 26 April 2012 – To mark the 62nd Anniversary of Europe Day, the 9th of May 1950 – 2012, as well as to celebrate the 20 years of friendship and cooperation between the European Union and Cambodia, 1992 – 2012, the EU Delegation to Cambodia and the Embassies of EU Member States, in close collaboration with the Institute Français of Cambodia, will organise a three-week EU Film Festival which will take place in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap from 7 to 31 May 2012.

Travel is the main theme of this year’s festival which will highlight the diversity and dynamism of European cinematic production with films from all over the European Union.

"I am very delighted to see as it is this year is the first time that the EU Film Festival comes even closer to Cambodians, with all the films being dubbed into the Khmer language, and with screenings being held at the Cineplex Movie Theatre on the 5th floor of the Sorya Shopping Center and at Baray Andet Movice Theatre in Siem Reap," said Ambassador Jean-François Cautain, Head of EU Delegation to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
