The European book club returns for another exciting season, this year in partnership with the Ottawa Public Library. The first session gets underway Wednesday, 20 February with Aurorarama, a novel by French author Jean Christophe Valtat.

Educated at Ecole Normale Superieure and the Sorbonne, Mr. Valtat lives in Paris and teaches comparative literature. He has written short stories and novels, in addition to award-winning radio-plays and a movie, which he also co-directed.

Mr. Tomás Dupla del Moral, Director for the Americas, made his first official visit to Canada 25-29 September 2011.

Mr. Dupla del Moral's visit marked the beginning of negotiations to renew EU-Canada relations under a new pact called the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA). The two-day official trip included stops in Ottawa and Quebec City where he participated in a series of high-level meetings with both provincial and federal authorities.
