It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ambassador Xavier Marchal who died on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the St. Elisabeth Hospital in Brussels following a brief illness. He leaves his wife, Vasile Crittenden; his son, Alex; his two daughters, Sandra and Julie; and many close friends and colleagues.

The European Commission has adopted three projects for a total value of €53 million as part of the ongoing programme of cooperation between the EU and Ethiopia. The projects are financed from the 10th European Development Fund and aim to enhance governance and service delivery by the public sector and by non-state actors.

The workshop was held in Addis Ababa at the Ghion Hotel on Wednesday 25 January 2012.
