The Honourable Minister of Works, Construction & Infrastructure, Mr Francis Mboge, and the EU Chargé d'Affaires Mme Agnès Guillaud visited the completed works on the Trans-Gambia Highway on Thursday 3 May.

This 24 km regional road, which crosses the Gambia from North to South, has been successfully rehabilitated and its provisional acceptance was delivered on that day. The road will facilitate more efficient transport of goods and individuals for Gambian and all ECOWAS citizens. The Minister recalled the strong commitment of the Government to maintain the newly rehabilitated road and to apply ECOWAS rules for axle load control of trucks.
