As security has improved in this country, culture is now becoming an important factor and many are realising, albeit slowly, that culture is as good a tool as any, if not a better one, for bridging the gap and resolving disagreements. Under the guise of classical music, football, painting or rap dancing, amongst many other possibilities, it unites all creeds, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs under one roof where the cultural object is more important than the political beliefs.

The Delegation of the European Union is helping to propagate the knowledge of Iraqi art and culture so that this country is now also recognised as one of great talent, with an historic past deep-rooted in the psyche of all which makes each and everyone proud to belong to their country
