Officials from the European Commission and the Municipality of Malisheva/Mališevo inaugurated on Monday (30 May) beginning of construction works on the Business Support Centre.

The new building will contribute in the future development of competitive businesses in the town of Malisheva/ Mališevo with the regional impact throughout the economic region South.

The Business Support Centre will be assisting businesses as well as host trainings related to development of small and medium enterprises for this part of Kosovo. Particular attention will be addressed to women and youth, which is why the Centre will provide office space and technical assistance to "Women in Business" and "Young Entrepreneurs" programmes.

The project is financed through the first round of EU Regional Economic Development (RED) grant scheme. All five economic regions in Kosovo have won 19 grants in total supporting socio-economic development through RED approach in line with EU practices.
