Lesotho Data for Sustainable Development Project

The goal of the Lesotho Data for Sustainable Development Project is to collect, analyse and disseminate development data about the country.

Project overview

The overall objective of the Lesotho Data for Sustainable Development Project is the collection, analysis and dissemination of development data. This will be so that the government can monitor the progress of national and international development programmes and policies in the country. The project is geared towards the realisation of the national, regional and global targets enshrined in the Kingdom's National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP). It has three components:

  1. The definition of systematic tools for measuring development programs.
  2. The promotion of literacy and innovations for data collection, dissemination and use.
  3. Using the data to strengthen national leadership, institutional and technical capacities for effective coordination and sectoral engagement.

The project was launched on 23 February 2017.
