Services for journalists

The European Union and its institutions strive to work together with the media and provide them with as much information as possible. From Europa, you can access information about the European Union and from the European Commission directorates-general, you can learn about the EU's work in specific areas (like agriculture, climate action and development).

To raise awareness and understanding of the European Union and its policies, the EU Delegation to New Zealand carries out a wide range of activities.

At the Delegation, the Communication and Public Diplomacy Section organises interviews with visiting EU officials, issues press releases on EU-related events, and organises familiarization visits to the EU institutions for media.

Journalists invited to subscribe to the Delegation's mailing list and regularly receive EU news including the weekly EU newsletter news@eu. The Delegation also has a small stock of EU publications.

The EU's Charge d'Affaires to New Zealand is happy to accept interviews on EU-New Zealand relations and other specific topics. Please contact the Delegation if you are interested in an interview.
