Services for journalists
Interviews and Backgrounders
The Press and Information Unit of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) is the focal point for journalists reporting on affairs related to the EU. It seeks to keep the mass media informed on the workings of the EU Institutions in as open, transparent and accessible way as possible.
Journalists may request for interviews with the Head of the EU Delegation or visiting European officials and to obtain background information about a specific subject of interest. Press releases and key speeches relevant to the EU Delegation in the Philippines and the European Union are automatically distributed by e-mail to journalists.
Journalists who would like to be included in the fax/e-mail distribution list should inform the EU Delegation at Delegation-Philippines@eeas.europa.eu
Summaries of the day's news items, presented during the daily press briefings in Brussels, are also accessible at the Midday Express. To obtain documents from the Rapid database and the Midday Express, access the internet at : http://europa.eu/press_room/
