European Union

The European Union (EU) programme of cooperation supports Sri Lanka's development strategy. A wide variety of projects are currently being carried out across a range of sectors, regions and cities in Sri Lanka. EU assistance focuses in particular on support for rehabilitation and post-disaster reconstruction, education, health, and governance. EU funding for projects in Sri Lanka is provided in the form of grants only.
