European Union

Dr. Amna Dirar, State Minister of Labor and President of the Eastern Democratic Party has received the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan Ambassador Tomas Ulicny.  During the meeting, the State Minister praised the European Union projects in Eastern Sudan notably the Toker Delta Project and other projects related to women development.  The Minister stated that development is important to achieve the goals of Asmara Agreement.  The European Union Ambassador Tomas Ulicny welcomed the efforts to implement Asmara Agreement and confirmed European Union support to peace and stability in all Sudan.  The Ambassador added that that the European Union funding to a number of vocational centres in Sudan will help fight unemployment and improve the labor sector in Sudan.
