1.5 Million Euro for Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society: IPA 2009 Call for Proposals, 27 July 2012 (27/07/2012)
Today, the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of Finance have announced the Call for Proposals Support to Enhancement, Sustainability and Development of an Active Civil Society which, for the first time will be managed under the Decentralised management system of the Instrument for Pre-accession (IPA) Component 1.
The Call for Proposals aims to promote an active civil society and to improve the environment conducive to development and sustainability of civil society organisations in the country as proactive social actors in the implementation of the EU acquis.
The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are to strengthen the capacity of the Civil Society in the following areas:
- Fight against corruption and organised crime;
- Strengthening CSOs' management and networking;
- Protection of human rights, with special focus on vulnerable people
This Grant Scheme is funded under the IPA National Programme 2009, with an overall indicative amount of EUR 1 500 000.
The deadline for submission of applications is 29th of October 2012 at 14:00 hrs local time.
Five (5) information sessions on this call for proposals will be organised country wide in the course of September 2012.
