Citizens may have access to documents held by the European External Action Service subject to the conditions laid down in Regulation (EC) nr 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents  (Official Journal L 145 of 31.05.2001, p. 43)

Requests for access to documents held by the EEAS should be sent in writing, in one of the official languages of the European Union, either using the electronic form, or by post or fax.
