European Film Festival 2026 | Fiji

Bula vinaka and welcome to the fifth European Film Festival in Fiji, a flagship event of the European Union’s cultural calendar.

From 16 to 25 July, Damodar Cinemas will bring the European cinematic treat to Suva, Pacific Harbour, Lautoka, and Labasa. 

This special event connects the European Union and the Pacific through a shared love of culture, storytelling, and creativity.

The European Film Festival is back!

This is a FREE public event showcasing 8 films from different countries with a variety of styles, genres and stories. 

A superb line-up of films comes from eight Member States of the European Union: Belgium, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Latvia, Slovakia, and Spain. 

The programme features heartwarming live-action comedies, magical animated adventures, and touching coming-of-age tales – perfect for the whole family.

This event brings European culture to local audiences and encourages cultural exchange while strengthening the bridges between Europe and the Pacific, and celebrating the shared values that unite our two regions.
