Accelerating energy efficiency in Vietnam

💡 Last week, the EU Delegation 🇪🇺 in collaboration with the Ministry of Industrial and Trade and UNIDO kicked-off a 6️⃣.5️⃣-million-EUR project (fully funded by the EU) which aims to accelerating energy efficiency in large industries. 🇻🇳 

☀️ This objective will be achieved through energy management systems, system optimisation and the promotion and adoption of energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises. 

🔌 Implemented during 2023-2027 to support Vietnam’s National Targeted Programme on Energy Efficiency as well as its #netzero2050 goal, the project will: 

✅ Help the Vietnamese government improve technical regulations for the uptake of energy efficiency initiatives;

✅ Share knowledge and build capacity of national experts, financiers, certifying agencies and businesses;

✅ Provide hands-on support to selected enterprises to identify and implement energy efficiency solutions.
