EEAS Managing Director for Africa, Patricia Llombart completed a productive first visit to Addis Ababa, focused on preparing for the major AU-EU Summit in Luanda on November 24-25

Ms Llombart co-hosted the Joint EU and African Union Steering Committee with Amb. Prof. Miguel Bembe (Angolan Ambassador to Ethiopia & AU), where they had productive exchanges and delivered ARDA Talk at Ethiopian MOFA on strengthening EU–Africa and EU Ethiopia partnership: dialogue, development, and regional stability.

In the presence of EU Ambassador to the AU Javier Niño Perez and EU Ambassador to Ethiopia Sofie From-Emmesberg, Managing Director Patricia Llombart met with several high-level African Union and Ethiopian officials, including Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timotheos and African Union Member States Ambassadors to discuss EU-Ethiopia bilateral matters and the final road to a successful Summit.
