EU to the African Union Delegation celebrates 20 years of service and bids farewell to a colleague

Ambassador Javier Niño Pérez presented the 20-year service awards to Sosena Araya, Senior Secretary, and Klara Kanska, Trade Counsellor, in recognition of their two decades of commitment and professional service. During the presentation, the Ambassador highlighted their institutional knowledge and dedicated service.

The occasion also served as a heartfelt farewell to Elina Heljomaa, Personal Assistant to the Ambassador, who is transitioning to the Delegation in Barbados. In his remarks, Ambassador Niño Pérez expressed his and the team’s sincere appreciation for Elina’s contribution and wished her all the best as she continues her journey within the EU family.
