EU4Health - Contribution to the availability and access to vaccines against COVID-19 in Albania

Summary

Provision of vaccines for the administration of the Anti-Covid vaccine. This includes equipment for inoculation and adequate visibility of the EU support against the pandemic. 

Overall Objective

To mitigate the social and economic impact of СОУШ-19 in Albania. In particular, to ensure that COVID-19 vaccines purchased through the EU-funded interventions are administered in Albania, especially to identified priority groups (e.g. primarily healthcare workers, the elderly,

vulnerable and high-risk people).

Expected Results

A substantial proportion of the identified priority groups are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Activities

Emergency procurement of any missing equipment/supplies required for the implementation of the vaccination campaign

Signature of the resale/donation agreements with the Member States and the vaccine manufacturers

and/or other EU negotiated agreements

Delivery of the СОУШ-19 vaccines under the agreements

Launch of the vaccination campaign-

 Implementation of the vaccination campaign, registration and monitoring as required by regulator

 Completion of the vaccination campaign for the targeted priority groups and possible extension to

other groups

Appropriate communication and visibility of the EU funding.
