EU4Inclusive Teaching
Overall Objective
The overall objective is to enhance inclusive competence-based quality learning in pre-university primary education in Albania that leaves no child behind based on processes that equip teachers with skills and competencies of inclusive teaching.
The specific objectives are:
Reviewing and updating the professional development curriculum for in-service teachers;
320 teacher trainers identified by AQAPE undergo a ToT program;
Designing the blueprint of the School Psychologist/Social Worker Cabinet;
Transition plan to a resource centre for the Schools for Deaf and Blind children.
The Action targets the following groups, gains, and final beneficiaries:
320 active and motivated teachers are selected for the Train the trainer (ToT) program.
15 000 teachers will be selected based on geographical coverage and need.
The school psychologists and social workers in 320 schools including those affected by the 2019 earthquake.
The staff of the School of the Blind and the School of the Deaf
Local teachers who will act as co-trainers in the ToT training process.
Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, Agency of Quality Assurance in Pre-university Education (AQAPE) and Regional and local structures of education management in Albania
Activities

Teachers are equipped with knowledge, skills, and competencies to deliver modern competence-based teaching and more inclusive education to their students.

Improved social work/ psychological services in 320 Albanian schools.
Enhanced psycho-social support to improve learners’ academic achievement. Improved promotion of positive behaviour and mental health.
Empowered teachers who can inspire and promote changes in the society
Strengthened partnership school-parents
Teachers practice in mainstream schools has more impact into blind and deaf/mute students’ academic achievement.
