EU4Inclusive Teaching

30.08.2022

Summary of the Project

The Albanian education sector strategy and policies reflect the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020) and the 2018 EU framework of key competencies. There is a clearly stated need for modernizing the teaching profession (competence-based teaching) and strengthening the skills of teachers and school leaders in Albania (OECD 2020, PISA 2018). Furthermore, there is a huge need for in-service teacher training addressing the need for new curriculum implementation and teachers’ needs and professional skills in inclusive education (AQAPE, 2016).
This project aims to improve Albanian students' learning outcomes and close the gap between students belonging to different socio-economic categories, which is crucial for both social cohesion and sustainable development of the country.
To this end, equipping teachers with the necessary competencies and skills to build a motivating and inclusive learning environment is the key to advancing the above priority
