EU Ambassador Presents Young People’s Award at 2025 Human Rights Awards

The EU continues to support the Australian Human Rights Awards, with the EU Delegation sponsoring the Australian Human rights Commission’s Young People’s Award. 

The Australian Human Rights Awards celebrates those who champion equality and human dignity.

EU Ambassador Gabriele Visentin presented the Young People’s Award alongside National Children’s Commissioner Deb Tsorbaris to Shakira Robertson for her trauma-informed work in preventing domestic and family violence and transforming Tasmania’s systemic response. 

The EU and Australia share a deep commitment to protecting and advancing human rights, and we congratulate all the recipients and nominees for their impactful work.
