It's an annual gathering that promises enjoyment, cultural discovery, and a celebration of international connections of Australia.

As in previous years, all attendees are invited to collect European stamps in their 'EU Passport' from the EU Delegation stall, capture memorable moments at the EU photo-booth, and explore more about their favourite European countries.

EU Village will be officially open by the EU Ambassador HE Gabriele Visentin and ACT Chef Minister Andrew Barr MLA in Glebe Park, Canberra on 17th February 2024 (Saturday) at 10.00 am.

The 2024 EU Village includes stalls from: Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway.

At the Italian stand you can have fun with our games and test your knowledge of Italian culture, traditions and celebrities, ask about your future trip to Italy, bring your kids for craft works and activity books.

Come to the Latvian stall to see the beauty Latvia has to offer and experience the depth and richness of its culture. Find out why the Latvian Dance and Song Festival of more than 40,000 performers is a must-see this year.  Get a question about Latvia right and you are guaranteed a surprise!

Malta

Visit Malta! More to Explore! Pamper your taste buds and come visit our stand to sense some Mediterranean flavours the Maltese Islands have to offer. Visit us and experience our identity, a journey across 7,000 years of history and culture.

Netherlands

Did you know that the Dutch were the first Europeans to encounter Australia? And that there are 1.4 bikes per person in our country? Come meet us to learn more fun facts, play a game of Sjoelen and perhaps learn how to make Dutch dishes.

Poland

Discover what Poland has to offer and learn more about Polish-Australian links, incl. Mt Kosciuszko. You are also invited to take part in a quiz to test your knowledge of Poland, as well as to taste-test delicious sweets.

Bring the kids to our stall and let them sit down and colour some Portuguese drawings while you discover all that Portugal has to offer! Show your knowledge about our country with our quiz for a chance to win a special prize.

This year our theme is EUROVISION and ABBA 50 year anniversary. We will have a quiz on this theme and visitors can be photographed together with the members of ABBA in our cut-out display.
