The EU Delegation to Australia mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As the world's longest serving Head of State, the Queen witnessed war and reconciliation in Europe and beyond, as well as transformations of our planet and societies.
There is much she should be thanked for: her consistency, her dignity and the stability she has provided during a reign that has witnessed so much change. She served in times of war and piece with remarkable determination, acting as an anchor of stability for Europe and the world.
On this sad day, the EU Delegation to Australia reflects on the Queen’s extraordinary reign and offers its heartfelt condolences to His Majesty the King, the Royal Family, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations.
