Team Europe in Canberra Marks Three Years Since Russia's Full-Scale Invasion of Ukraine
On 27 February , Team Europe, together with representatives from Canada, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, gathered at the EU Delegation in Canberra alongside Ukrainian Ambassador HE Vasyl Myroshnychenko to reaffirm their unwavering support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom, sovereignty, and shared democratic values. They also acknowledged Australia’s strong bipartisan support to Ukraine.
By bringing war back to Europe, Putin plans not only to destroy Ukraine and destabilise Europe, but tear up international law and the UN Charter and undermine peace and security in the entire world, including the Indo-Pacific.
The EU and its 27 Member States remain steadfast in their unprecedented support for Ukraine, providing over €138.2 billion euros in humanitarian, financial, economic, and military aid since 2022—more than any other partner. Therefore, any peace negotiations must involve both Ukraine and Europe.
Together, we stand united in our commitment for a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
