Visit of the EU’s Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation to Australia

The European Union Delegation to Australia recently welcomed Ms Signe Ratso, the Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation and Chief Negotiator for Horizon Europe association.

 

The European Union Delegation to Australia recently welcomed Ms Signe Ratso, the Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation and Chief Negotiator for Horizon Europe association.

Main highlights of the visit include high-level talks with the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources and Australia's Chief Scientist, Prof. Tony Haymet, as well as a tour of the National Health and Medical Research Centre and Parkville Medical Centre in Melbourne.

Team Europe, together with the Australian Academy of Science, hosted a special Horizon Europe event, "Connecting Continents: Research Dialogue with Europe", to explore opportunities for further scientific cooperation between the EU and Australia.
