On 10 th October, European Union Member States’ Ambassadors met with the Attorney-General, the Hon Mark Dreyfus KC, Foreign Minister, the Hon Penny Wong , and AFP Assistant Commissioner David McLean, to mark the European and World Day against the Death Penalty.
On 2 October, the European Commission published additional guidance documents to support third countries in their preparations for the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation. The Commission also proposed giving an additional 12 months to prepare for the law.
