The EU Delegation to Brazil regrets the loss of innocent lives as a result of recent events in Kazakhstan; our thoughts are with the victims and their families. The EU Delegation to Brazil hopes that a peaceful environment will prevail. As stated by the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borrell on behalf of all EU Member States on 8 January, it is important to prevent further escalation and exercise restraint at all times.
