Copernicus - Where art meets science: Explore Canada and Europe from space

07.05.2021

We are inviting you to discover Canada and Europe’s spectacular natural beauty through a collection of 24 satellite images captured by Copernicus Sentinels, a photo exhibit especially curated for the 45th anniversary of the Delegation of the European Union to Canada this year.

Named after the illustrious Renaissance-era mathematician and astronomer, Copernicus is the European Union’s signature Earth Observation Programme. Also known as Europe’s eyes on Earth, Copernicus offers vast amounts of global data from satellites and from ground-based, airborne and seaborne measurement systems, with the goal to improve quality of life worldwide.

This special photo exhibition is possible thanks to the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space. "Copernicus: Where art meets science" is presented both as a virtual and in-situ experience in several Canadian cities throughout the year.
