EU-Canada cooperation on technology: what value does it bring to your business?
Nearly 100 Canadian and European innovators took part in the EU-Canada Technology Workshop organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Canada on September 16, 2026, as part of the ALL IN conference in Montréal.
The workshop took place on a historic day for Canada-EU relations, confirming that the EU-Canada Digital Partnership is an essential instrument for advancing the “ever closer” relationship between the EU and Canada.
It followed a matchmaking event between European and Canadian companies organized by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform on September 15, 2026.
The workshop aimed to identify priorities for cooperation between European and Canadian technology companies.
- Participants made it clear that European and Canadian innovators are ready to join forces across all areas of the digital economy, from supercomputing and AI to cybersecurity and digital public infrastructure;
-
They want to build integrated digital ecosystems that will strengthen our digital sovereignty and reduce risky dependencies;
- And they are looking to promote and export advanced joint technology solutions to global markets.
This was the first in a series of outreach activities that the Delegation of the European Union to Canada plans to organize in the future to advance cooperation between the EU and Canadian technology companies.
