European cleantech meets Canadian demand: EU-Canada Cleantech Innovation Showcase in Vancouver

VANCOUVER – The Delegation of the European Union to Canada invites media to the EU-Canada Cleantech Innovation Showcase, organized by the EU-funded Low Carbon Business Action in Canada project (LCBA Canada). The event brings Canadian decision makers, buyers, investors, and public-sector leaders together with 20 European cleantech companies whose technologies respond to specific Canadian needs in buildings, water, energy, data centres and remote communities. It comes at a time when Canada and the EU are deepening their cooperation on clean growth and supply-chain resilience.

Speakers: H.E. Geneviève Tuts, Ambassador of the European Union to Canada (keynote remarks, online); David Sanguinetti, President, Sanguinetti Engineering, and former CEO of Foresight Canada; Luigi Scarpa de Masellis, Senior Advisor, Economic and Commercial Affairs, Delegation of the European Union to Canada; and Jae Mather, Chief Innovation Officer, ClimateDoor (partner of the LCBA Canada project).

Featured companies: 20 European companies from across Europe, in five areas: built environment; water and blue economy; energy resilience and grid; data centres and digital infrastructure; and remote and Indigenous communities (full list below)

About the EU-Canada Cleantech Innovation Showcase
The showcase uses a rapid problem-to-solution format: Canadian market challenges are presented and matched with complementary European technologies, followed by themed breakout stations, live questions and answers with EU companies joining online, and structured networking. The featured companies were selected for their relevance to a live Canadian market need, commercial readiness, track record with Canadian partners, distinctiveness and balanced representation across the EU. After the event, LCBA Canada will arrange one-to-one meetings between interested Canadian organizations and relevant EU companies.
