Global progress to end child labour has stalled for the first time in 20 years. One in ten children in the world are victims of child labour, and the number is growing. Social protection is key to providing an environment to keep children away from this reality and the EU continues working with its international partners to this end.
Dr. Melita Gabrič, Ambassador of the European Union to Canada, hosted an awards ceremony on 3 May in Ottawa to announce the winner of the inaugural EURO Challenge in Canada: Canterbury High School.
The third EU-Canada Joint Ministerial Committee meeting will take place on 16 May 2022 in Brussels, marking the fifth anniversary since the provisional application of the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2017.
