EU Delegation to China calls for better intellectual property protection at China International Fair for Trade in Services
The Delegation of the European Union to China on 1 September participated in the Summit on Fighting Against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2022, in Beijing. Honoured to accept the invitation of China’s State Administration for Market Regulation, Helene Juramy, from the Trade Section of the Delegation, delivered a speech on intellectual property developments and challenges in China.
Intellectual property intensive industries are valuable to society, especially as we need to tackle challenges such as climate change and healthcare. European companies in China continue to report inappropriate protection of intellectual property.
The European Union is committed to maintaining the dialogue open with China, including through the IP Key China project, which last phase concluded last month. The European Union looks forward to continue working with Chinese authorities to ensure that the next phase will be successfully implemented.
