Video: Film Porcelain War screened at the EU Delegation to China in Beijing
On 6 March 2026, marking the fourth year of the Russian full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the film Porcelain War was screened at the EU Delegation to China in Beijing.
In his opening remarks, Mattias Lentz, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to China, said that this war is not just against Ukraine’s borders. Nations are defined by their people, their stories, their heritage, and their values.
Through the stories of Ukrainian artists who continue to create while their country is under attack, Porcelain War shows how culture itself becomes an act of resilience – capturing ordinary people in an extraordinary situation. The film also reminds us that behind every figure and statistic is a face, a story, a home — a life interrupted.
The film screening was also complemented by the Deputy Head of Mission of the Ukrainian Embassy to China, who shared with Chinese audience his personal experience of the past years in Ukraine.
