Almost 1,900 European tourists have successfully returned from Cuba

Between 23 March and 3 April, a total of ten repatriation flights from Cuba have been organized under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM). The repatriation flights have brought home over 1857 EU citizens and around 121 non-EU residents of more than 46 nationalities, including from 25 EU Member States.

 

Between 23 March and 3 April, a total of ten repatriation flights from Cuba have been organized under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM). The repatriation flights have brought home over 1857 EU citizens and around 121 non-EU residents of more than 46 nationalities, including from 25 EU Member States.

The repatriation flights from Havana and Varadero were led by Germany (7 flights), the Czech Republic (1 flight), Austria (1 flight), and Finland (1 flight).

This action has been successfully accomplished thanks to the hard work coordinated by the EU Delegation to Cuba and the Member States embassies represented in the country. Our efforts have been supported throughout by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs who has been an efficient and reliable partner.
