The EU Cities for Fair and Ethical Trade Award celebrates and promotes visionary European cities who champion trade that is more inclusive and sustainable. The Award supports cities to scale up their sustainability initiatives and engage consumers, as well as local businesses, in order to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The launch event aims to bring together the fair and ethical trade community, to learn about the Award, application process and highlight the important dates in the 2020 calendar. The European Commission, the International Trade Centre and the 2019 Award Winner, the city of Ghent, will be there to share their experiences and more information.
