The European Union, in collaboration with global partners, is proud to announce the launch of the “Opportunity-driven Skills and Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Africa (TEI OP-VET)” Call for Proposals. This initiative, part of the broader EU Global Gateway Investment Package for Africa, aims to drive Ethiopia’s digital transformation by aligning vocational education and training with real job opportunities arising from ongoing investments.

Why This Matters for Ethiopia

Investments in digital infrastructure and other key sectors are driving Ethiopia’s growth. However, a lack of skills is holding back job creation. This Call for Proposals aims to bridge that gap by designing vocational training programs that directly respond to the needs of the labour market, particularly in the digital economy, green energy, and health sectors.  (Find out more in the information flyer)
