Applications are now open to influence EU policies and empower Ethiopian youth, through joining the third cohort of YSB Ethiopia. 

The EU Youth Sounding Board (YSB) Ethiopia is your platform to make a difference. This initiative empowers Ethiopian youth to directly influence EU external action and international partnerships. As a YSB member, your input to the EU delegation in Ethiopia will concretely help to ensure that EU actions in Ethiopia are participatory, relevant, and effective for young people in Ethiopia and beyond. At the same time, the YSB provides many opportunities for youths participating. We give trainings, invite to high-level events, and make sure to connect the YSB not only with international organisations but also other youth structures. 

We welcome passionate young Ethiopians to apply! To be eligible, you must:

• Be an Ethiopian citizen with a valid passport.

• Be between 18 and 30 years old (as of December 31, 2025).

• Have an excellent command of English.

• Be able to devote at least 25 days per year to YSB activities.

The selection process will be conducted in two stages

• Shortlist of candidates: January 15, 2026

• Announcement of final results: February 9, 2026
