Addressing Climate Vulnerabilities in the Water Sector in RMI (ACWA)

ACWA enhance the ability of Marshallese to adapt to increase climate risks, particularly extreme drought events by improving household and community rainwater harvesting (RWH) and storage structures, securing groundwater resources from contamination; and strengthening technical capacities of national and sub national institutions and key stakeholders. The project is working to build the capacity of the people of the Marshall Islands to implement water security measures. Vulnerable households in targeted communities will have improved access to water and strategies to respond to climate vulnerability in outer atolls and islands.
