CSO 2023 / 452-981 Youth Economic and Climate Action

The project’s objective is to strengthen and empower local civil society organisations (CSOs) to engage as actors of governance and development by meaningfully supporting youth’s economic empowerment and driving local climate action in the Solomon Islands.

The project further aims to support youth, including those not in employment, education or training, to strengthen their capacity to enable them to increase their economic empowerment; create sustainable economic opportunities for youth, especially young women, to ensure they are economically resilient and actively engaged in decent work opportunities of their choosing; increase young people’s capabilities to collectively promote their voices and ensure active participation in climate action.
