On 3 August he met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu, Honourable Bob Loughman.

Vanuatu and the European Union share a rich history and friendship. The meeting, which took place in Port Villa, allowed both sides to discuss matters of mutual interest and highlight various interests shared between the European Union and Vanuatu, such as economic and trade development, climate change and the strengthening of diplomatic dialogue that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They also dialogued on Visa, taxation and money laundering issues.
