Head of EU Delegation, Mrs Diana Acconcia, bids farewell to Ghana
Mrs. Acconcia described Ghana as a country that was likeminded with EU on peace, human rights and multilateralism. She said the partnership with Ghana had been evolving from a donor recipient relationship to a partnership of equals based on common values and mutual interest, which was in line with the Ghana Beyond Aid vision.
The President on his part said the stay of Ambassador Acconcia in Ghana has been successful. He commended the EU for its support in the fight against terrorists expansion in the Sahel in the ECOWAS space. The President indicated that terrorism was a major concern to ECOWAS countries. He was grateful for the COVAX initiative, which brought the first COVID vaccines to Ghana.
At the event were some government officials and members of the European Union Delegation.
