Ambassador to Honduras presented EU measures to face world energy crises

The Head of the EU Delegation to Honduras, Jaume Segura, participated in the XV Congress of the Honduran Association for Industrial Development (ANDI). He was invited to participate in the panel “Measures adopted to face the effects of fuel prices at global level”, where he explained what the European Union is doing to deal with the current energy crisis as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The discussion was held with important key players in the energy sector of Honduras, such as the Electric Power Regulatory Commission and representatives of the private sector. In his speech, the Head of Delegation stressed the importance of achieving a fair green transition through the measures provided for in the RePowerEU Plan to accelerate the EU's energy independence from Russian fossil fuels and reduce fuel prices without neglecting the objectives set out in the European Green Deal to counter climate change.
