Inauguration of European Film Festival in Honduras
The European Union in Honduras started its Europe Day activities with the inauguration of the European Film Festival.
The inauguration took place in a movie theatre in the capital of the country. Near 90 persons assisted to watch the movie “My Little Comrade” from Estonia.
The Head of Delegation highlighted the importance of art as a universal language and especially as an important tool to strengthen cultural relations and share values.
In May, the films will be screened, with free access, at the Spanish Cultural Center in Tegucigalpa, at the French Alliance of Tegucigalpa and at the German Cultural Center. To bring closer the European Film Festival to people living outside the capital of Honduras, the movies will also be played in important cultural centres of two more cities of the country: Gracias and Yoro.
The programming is part of the activities of the European Month in commemoration of the Day of Europe.
