The Delegation and Partners Plant 1,000 Trees in Heiðmörk

The EU Delegation, alongside seven European embassies and local conservationists, recently gathered on a beautiful autumn day to plant nearly 1,000 trees in a spirit of Green Diplomacy.

The EU Delegation, in collaboration with the Reykjavik Forestry Association (Skógræktarfélag Reykjavíkur), recently organized a successful tree-planting event in Heiðmörk. Taking advantage of beautiful autumn conditions, the initiative brought together representatives from the embassies of Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Poland, Spain, and Sweden, alongside the Iceland Nature Conservation Association. Working together, the group planted nearly 1,000 trees. This marks the Delegation's third tree-planting initiative in Heiðmörk, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the Reykjavik Forestry Association for their excellent collaboration.
