EU Delegation Staff Volunteer at Samhjálp
On 6 December, the EU Ambassador, Ms Lucie Samcová-Hall Allen, and EU Delegation staff members volunteered at Samhjálp to contribute to the charity organization's important work before the Christmas holiday season.
The team prepared nearly 200 Christmas gifts that will be distributed to people of all ages that are in need of a little extra care and solidarity this coming holiday season.
Samhjálp is a charity organization established in 1973 and runs various support centres around the Capital Area, such as a kitchen providing over 100 thousand free meals per year, a rehabilitation centre, and a charity shop.
We thank Edda Jónsdóttir, CEO, and her hard working team of 30 employees for their warm welcome and for their impactful work for the betterment of society.
