Together with the European Commission, the Icelandic Ministry of Higher Education, Industry and Innovation, is hosting a special information and launching event of the Icelandic InvestEU programme! The event will start at 09:30 on 10th January and will take place in the House of Collections - Safnahús on Hverfisgata, 101 Reykjavík.

InvestEU provides the EU with crucial long-term funding by leveraging substantial private and public funds in support of a sustainable recovery. It will provide crucial support to companies, especially in view of the still ongoing crisis. It l also helps to mobilise private investments for the EU's policy priorities, such as the European Green Deal and the digital transition. 

The InvestEU Programme  brings together under one roof the multitude of EU financial instruments currently available to support investment in the EU, making funding for investment projects in Europe simpler, more efficient and more flexible. The InvestEU Fund  supports four policy areas which represent important policy priorities for the Union and bring high EU added value: sustainable infrastructure; research, innovation and digitisation; small and medium-sized businesses; and social investment and skills.

The InvestEU guarantee amounts to €26.2 billion and the overall investment to be mobilised with - provisioning from the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and Next Generation EU resource -  is estimated at more than €372 billion.
