Melkorka and Emma Ósk join the EU Delegation team

We are please to welcome Melkorka Kjartansdóttir and Emma Ósk Ragnarsdóttir to the EU Delegation team. Melkorka and Emma Ósk will stay as trainees at the Press and Information section of the Delegation for the next 6 months.

 

We are please to welcome Melkorka Kjartansdóttir and Emma Ósk Ragnarsdóttir to the EU Delegation team. Melkorka and Emma Ósk will stay as trainees at the Press and Information section of the Delegation for the next 6 months.

Melkorka Kjartansdóttir holds an L.L.B in European Law where she specialised in European Human Rights Law and EU Asylum Law. Additionally, Melkorka completed an exchange programme at the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. Previously, she worked at the Parliamentary Ombudsman of Iceland. Alongside her studies, Melkorka chaired the Amnesty International Maastricht Students association and she continues to actively participate in both Human rights and Climate Awareness volunteering.

Emma Ósk Ragnarsdóttir holds a BA in Political Science and a post-graduate diploma in Public Administration. She is currently finishing a post-graduate diploma in Education Studies as well, with a specialisation in community and multiculturalism. Emma has been active in political work, such as taking part in election campaigns and being a part of various boards within a political party. She was also a board member within the European Youth Parliament in Iceland during her BA studies. Emma has worked a lot within immigrant and refugee affairs, multiculturalism and education, and is very passionate about bringing more awareness to the relationship that Iceland has with Europe.
