Mr Kristján Sævald Pétursson Joins the EU Delegation

We are very pleased to welcome Kristján Sævald Pétursson to the Delegation as our new Policy and Press Officer. Kristján brings extensive experience in strategic communications and joins us from the U.S. Embassy in Iceland, where he spent the past five years serving in the Public Affairs Section in the role of Strategic Content Coordinator, leading strategic communication efforts, developing content for public diplomacy initiatives. Kristján has an AP degree in Multimedia Design and Communication from the Nordic Multimedia Academy in Denmark, and a B.A. in German from the University of Iceland and brings his multilingual abilities to the delegation. He speaks, Icelandic, English, German, Danish and is currently studying French.

We are also delighted to welcome Kristján back to the Delegation - he previously completed a traineeship with us, where he gained a deep understanding of EU-Iceland relations and the Delegation’s political and public diplomacy functions, and we are thrilled to have him return in this new role!
