National Police Commissioner Met With EU Ambassadors

On 18 April 2023, the National Police Commissioner of Iceland, Ms Sigríður Björk Guðjónsdóttir, was a guest at a regular EU Heads of Mission Meeting at the EU Delegation.

Ms Guðjónsdóttir informed the Ambassadors of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Council of Europe meeting that will be held in Reykjavik on 16th and 17th of May 2023.

Ms Guðjónsdóttir discussed successful outcomes of law enforcement cooperation between Iceland and EU Member States. Furthermore, she emphasised the importance of close partnerships with European institutions such as Europol and Frontex.
