We are please to welcome Melkorka Kjartansdóttir and Emma Ósk Ragnarsdóttir to the EU Delegation team. Melkorka and Emma Ósk will stay as trainees at the Press and Information section of the Delegation for the next 6 months.

"Icelandic lamb" has been registered as a Protected Designation of Origin Product in the EU

On Monday 13.03.2023, the European Commission confirmed the registration of Iceland's first Protected Designation of Origin product. "Íslenskt lambakjöt" or Icelandic lamb is the first Icelandic product to receive this certification.

The European Investment Bank lends $63.7m to Landsnet

The European Investment Bank is lending $63,7m to Landsnet for the construction of a new generation of power lines that will play an important role in the green energy transition. Landsnet will use the financing to upgrade Iceland's national power grid to meet increasing demand for energy which will in turn support the green energy transition in the country.
