We offer

We offer a post of Driver. Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation. Upon recruitment, the successful candidate will occupy a specific job function as Driver – this job function may be changed in accordance with the needs of the Delegation. Under this job function the successful candidate will serve as technical and support staff to function as a driver under the supervision and responsibility of the relevant head of section within the overall responsibility of the Head of Delegation. The contract will be an indefinite contract.

Working hours – 09:00 to 17:30 (7.5 hrs/day; 37.5 hrs/week),

Place of employment – New Delhi

Group – V and starting basic salary – INR 29858

Selection Criteria

Minimum Requirements:

1. Valid Indian driving license
2. Medically fit to perform the required duties (mandatory medical check-up prior to recruitment);
3. Enjoys civil rights and permits for employment under local law;
4. Good knowledge of English and Hindi; good technical knowledge of vehicles and vehicle maintenance; basic computer knowledge; good oral and written communication skills.
5. 5 years of relevant working experience as a driver

The following will be considered an asset:

1. Working experience in an Embassy or international organisation environment
2. Technical education

The procedure

All the applications will be reviewed by a Selection Committee set up for this purpose. The Selection Committee will prepare a short-list of candidates who are considered to be the most suitable for the post on the basis of a preliminary assessment of the information provided in their application letter and the supporting documents. The short-listed candidates will be invited to an assessment phase that may include a written test and an interview based on the result of the test to assess the suitability of the candidates for the post.

The candidates who have not been short-listed will not be contacted individually; however, the Delegation will use the same means of publication as for this Vacancy Notice to inform the remaining candidates once the recruitment procedure has been completed and that a candidate has (or has not) been recruited.
